I am a dreamer, musician, songwriter, and passionate lover of Jesus. Music has been my best friend for as long as I can remember. I began writing songs in my teens. This developed into a desire to make my living as a musician. I pursued this dream for a while during my 20′s.
At the age of 32, my life was radically transformed when I came face to face with God’s amazing grace in the person of Jesus Christ. I fell madly in love and gave my life to Him, and haven’t looked back since. The flame of passion that He ignited in my heart began to burn with music again. I can’t seem to stop the flood of songs about my Jesus!
As a result of my own background, I feel deep compassion for hurting, marginalized people. It is my prayer that God will open doors of healing and hope for others through my music and life.
I believe that true freedom comes as we understand that God knows everything about us, and He loves us. His love for us was expressed 2,000 years ago in the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus, who came down from Heaven for this very purpose, to die in our place and to show us the way back home, to God.
I named my blog “One Lost Sheep” based on the parable of the lost sheep in Matthew 18:
“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost.”
